Description

Macabeo is most known as the key grape in Cava, but it can also shine on its own. The varietal is versatile, either giving fresh, easy-drinking wines, or more complex, age-worthy wines. This bottle is halfway inbetween, fresh and thirst-quenching but with added complexity from 12 hours of skin contact and two months of lees aging in stainless steel. Low-intervention, certified organic and vegan.

Aromas & flavours

Bags of fresh tropical and stone fruit on the nose, including peach, grapefruit and pineapple. Look for a hint of the bakery, that’s the lees contact. On the palate the wine is clean, fresh and mouth-watering, with enough texture and flavour to make it persist in the mouth. A lot of bang for your buck here.

Food pairing

We like it with Asian-inspired dishes, with lots of fruit and acidity standing up to those stronger aromatics. Try mango salad, grilled shrimps, or ceviche.
